About us...

The Suffolk Wedding Dress Echange was established  in 2012 with the vision of offering brides the opportunity to buy and sell once worn designer bridal gowns.  Giving brides the chance to buy a fabulous designer gown with a big saving against the RRP and sellers the opportunity to re-sell their beautiful gowns .

Fast forward and we have helped over a thousand  Brides to find their perfect gowns at affordable prices with no compromise on quality or service, and shared so much fun and laughter along the way.

We are proud of the huge choice of beautiful sample and once worn designer wedding dresses available and the friendly, personal service we offer, including alterations  in house with our talented seamstresses.

How does wedding dress sizing work?

Bridal Gowns are generally sized as couture gowns and therefore can be 1-2 sizes smaller than high street sizing.  It depends on the designer and style,  but as a general rule fitted dresses tend to be at least a size smaller than the high street and if you have a bigger bust or hips, you may need to go up 1 or 2 sizes.

Help - I have no idea what I'm looking for or what suits me?

We'd be happy to help you.  We'd suggest picking a variety of styles as a starting point and we can then browse the rails once we have a sense of your shape and style.

Are all the Bridal Gowns Once Worn?

No, about 70% of our gowns are samples that have been tried on in Bridal Shops but not worn for a wedding.  If you prefer not to look at once worn gowns, let us know and we'll filter the choices for you.  But.. if you find a once worn gown, they are generally in perfect condition and can save you in alterations costs as they have generally been re-hemmed/ shortened.
